The Citrus County Hot 2 Trot 4H Club recently donated Christmas presents to the SPOT Toy Drive.
The gifts were collected at our annual Christmas Party and our members decided to give gifts to others rather than receive gifts themselves.
In the photo below club leader Bridget Imparato on left is shown presenting the gifts to Trish Njorge of Kings Bay Self Storage who was collecting gifts for SPOT.
Below are some pictures from the 2009 4H State Horse Show which was held in Tampa.
Our team was marvelous... We won the High Point Small County Award, We won the Golden Shovel Award for having the cleanest barn area for a small county.
Our riders were great. Michael Imparato finished High Point Overall, High Point Hunt Seat and High Point Senior. He won three classes, a second and one third.
Haley Dwyer finished in 10th place Overall for Junior riders. She was 1st in Pony Working Hunter 14.2H and under, 5th in Equitation O/F 13 and under, 5th in the Hunter Hack 13 and under, 8th in Mares 14.2h and under and 12th place in Showmanship 13 and under.
Hannah Huntington received Honorable Mention in Model Geldings over 14.2h and a 5th place in Junior Working Hunter.
Lauren Holmes received a 3rd in Model Geldings under 14.2h, 7th in Equitation O/F 13 and under, and 11th in Pony Hunter U/S.
Maggie Cobb received a 6th in Dressage, 6th in Equitation on the Flat and 11th in Showmanship.
John Alexander received a 2nd place in Model Mares 14.2h and under and a 5th in Pony Hunter U/S.
All of the classes were huge with an average of 50-60 in each class and winning any ribbon is a major accomplishment. GO TEAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The theme this year was "Blast from the past" so our riders researched all the way back to 1900.
Our stalls were decorated beautifully, we had our music from all generations playing and Michael even donned his Star Wars costume..
We had a great time and we certainly have the greatest bunch of kids and parents..It was great sharing Mike's 18th birthday with the people we care so much about..
The first photo is of John Alexander and Winding Oaks Tiara Twist taken during the 2009 RMI Mid-Florida Show series.
The pair finished as Circuit Champions in the Small/Medium Children's Pony Division.
John also competed on Rose in the regular medium pony division and had some nice ribbons. ( next three photos).
Here is a group shot of all our riders taken by Brian Imparato. The picture was taken at Area C where 6 of our riders qualified for the State show in July. Go Team!!!!

On March 15th, 2009 Michael Imparato and Solomon competed in the $25,000 Marshall & Sterling League Children's Jumper Classic at HITS.
The pair navigated the course beautifully but were a few seconds over the time allowed which eliminated them from the jump off.

On December 26th, 2008 4H leader Bridget Imparato participated in a Fox Hunt with some of her students.

A big thank you to Greg Cobb for inviting us. The ride was beautiful and there was a beautiful brunch afterwards.

The Hot 2 Trot club had an outstanding showing recently at the Sumter Equestrian Center Year End Finals.

Haley Dwyer riding "Perfect Kyss" was year end Reserve Champion Pony Finals Medal Rider.
Amy Baumgartner riding "Oakley" was the 2'6" Medal Finals Champion.
Hannah Huntington riding "Secret Hello" was the 2'6" Medal Finals Reserve Champion.
Michael Imparato riding "Solomon" was the 3' Medal Finals Champion.
We will miss Amy Baumgartner very much and wish her well in South Carolina.
We have known her since Mike was 3 years old when she was his baby sitter and she began taking lessons with us.

We had a great time at the show and the 4H members from 13 different states all had a great time.
Michael Imparato shown in the photos riding Solomon took a 5th place ribbon in "Working Hunter" out of 70 riders and took a 9th place ribbon in "Open Jumpers" out of 30 entries.
That was the first time Michael and Solomon competed together in Open Jumping at 3'6".

Many of our students competed at the Southeast Hunter Jumper Show held on 7/16-17, 2006 in Bushnell, Florida.
Our kids did terrific.. Lauren Holmes won a Championship and Felicia Coromilas was Reserve Champion. Haley Dwyer, Samantha Rich and Bailey Miller all did extremely well winning ribbons at their very first horse show.. The Hot 2 Trot 4H club made a donation of new Christmas presents for needy children and donated them to the AGAPE Store of First Baptist Church of Crystal River. Shown in the photo are 4H members Bonnie and Tommy Sharp making the donation. We are very proud of our 4H members as they chose to give gifts to the needy rather than exchange gifts between themselves.
The Hot 2 Trot 4H club held a Christmas party on December 14th.
A great time was had by all and the cookies were delicious.
