The Hot 2 Trot 4H Club is a club with an equestrian interest. Some of our members do have their own horses, however horse ownership is not a club requirement. We meet for non-horse meetings the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Showtime Stables in Pine Ridge Estates. Guest speakers will be scheduled throughout the year to discuss topics such as Roberts Rules, veterinary care, horse shoeing, showing etc. We have also discussed a possible field trip to the Ocala Veterinary Hospital. In addition to our horse activities our club has been very active in community minded activities. Some things we have done in the past are the planting of a butterfly garden, a video drive for Shands Hospital Pediatric Ward, we adopted a needy family during the Christmas Holiday 2002 as well as built and installed owl boxes in the community. Our club is still open for new members. Being the mother of two young boys who are now both involved in the program, I hope to spend many more years enjoying the 4H programs and helping area youth.
